Siro: MDU Design and Build
Overview:
Siro, a wholesale open access provider operating in Ireland, engaged Entegro as a partner for delivering an MDU design and build.
Challenge:
To gain approval and access to the building for full fibre delivery.
Solution:
Entegro approached the landlord, seeking approval to bring fibre into the building. Once this was approved, a full survey was undertaken to identify the internal fibre route between the external fibre entry point and each of the sub-premises within the property.
The HLD and the cost of equipment and labour were presented and approved by the client, allowing us to move on to the installation phase. The LLD was then created.
The main fibre passive splitter was installed. Depending on the design, a splitter could be fitted at each floor. The main fibre trunk was installed and spliced to the external drop fibre and to the internal fibre riser fibre. Each sub-customer drop was installed. All fibre was tested using an OTDR and once connected light-levels checked.
Result:
Entegro’s partnership with Siro delivered multiple ‘homes-passed’ within the MDU environment.
“I would rate them very positively, they have an excellent reputation in Siro for both design and delivery”
